Adult Dog Basic Training Class & Taking the Show on the Road (8 Week Class):

Is a Basic Group Training Class for Adolescent, Adult, and Senior Dogs 10 months and older. 4 Weeks are at The Training Facility & 4 Weeks are Field Trips into the Real World. This Class is offered during the non-rainy seasons of the year (Spring, Summer, & Fall).

Week #1 without the dog is highly recommended for New Clients to the Right Steps. It is the introductory lecture to The Right Steps, we go over positive solutions to problem behavior (example jumping, play biting, training, toy and exercise needs, and more), Week #1 Homework is discussed so dogs will be ready for the following Week #2, the first class with the dogs.

In order to participate in the Field Trip portion of the Classes (Weeks #5-through-#8) Clients must participate in a minimum 2 of the 3 Weeks at the Training Facility with their dogs (Weeks #2-through-#4. This is a safety feature to help insure the dogs will be safe to proceed on in public.

Basic Training Hand Signals and Cues are covered in this Class (Examples: Sit, Down from a Sit and from a Stand, Sit Stay, Down Stay, Recalls, Loose Leash Walking, Attention Walking/Heel, Leave It).

Field Trips: May be at locations with no parking fees (Examples: local parks and shopping center) or locations with Parking Fees (Example: Sacramento County Park, $5.00). We normally do a mixture. Clients are responsible for paying for parking fees (via cash at time of parking unless already own an annual pass).

Classes are not appropriate for dogs with Dog/Dog or Dog/People Aggression Issues. Please see Class & Facility Rules for further details. If concerned, please address with us before signing up.

Offered: Sundays (Times may vary: Mornings, Afternoons, or Evenings based on space availability ~ Call or E-mail us please if questions on time.)

*Fee:

$185.00 for 8 weeks / 5-6 dogs Maximum per Class.

*Please Note: Payment in full is required to reserve/purchase a Class Space (by Pay Pal Online, Check, or Cash). Once Payment has been received a Personalized Class Confirmation and Class Details (including your Class Day/Time/Date) E-mail will be sent by The Right Steps to confirm space has been purchased and confirmed. The Class E-mail Confirmations are sent out only on Wed., Thurs., & Fri. ~ Thank You for your patience and your business.

IMPORTANT: Please contact us 'before' signing up and making payment if you have any questions &/or wish to come and watch a class before making a final decision to sign up for a class. We encourage you to contact us to schedule a time to come watch a class (without your dog) if you are unsure if The Right Steps is right for you and your dog, to help you make an educated decision.
