New Dog Consultations are structured to assist families in choosing the right fit of their new puppy or dog to their lifestyle.

Is this your first time choosing your new best friend? Are you a new dog owner to be?
Choosing a new best doggy pal should be done carefully and with research first before jumping in with both feet due to the "cute" factor!
Keep in mind, depending on the breed, dogs can easily live upwards of 15 years. When choosing your puppy or dog it is so very important to evaluate your lifestyle and needs "realistically" before making a final decision. As hard as it can seem at the time, it is best to think with your head first, then your heart. This can save heartache and money for you, and also help insure your new friend will stay with you for many years, versus ending up in a Shelter.
A New Dog Consultation gives us the opportunity to sit down with you and your family to look at your home (inside and out), talk about your lifestyle and daily routines, discuss what your goals are for your new puppy/dog. This fact finding appointment helps us direct you towards what age range, breed options (mixed &/or pure), discuss shelter/rescue puppy/dog and breeder puppy/dog, and more. By seeing your home first hand we can help you make a shopping list of what you will need to prepare your home inside and out and a to do list before you get your friend home to make the transition as easy as possible.

When setting up your Consulation a $30.00 deposit is required to book/reserve/finalize your appointment date/day/time. $30.00 deposit will be applied to your 1st Training Session, balance is due day of Training Session via Cash or Check. If prefer to pay via Credit Card or Pay Pal, payment due in advance. Minimum 48 hour or more notice to cancel or reschedule. Notification received under 48 hours forfeits your deposit. Please understand we have a limited time available for Private Training and try and maximize Private Training time for our Clients.
Initial Consultation: $150.00 for 1.5-to-2.0 hours (Required for all new human/puppy/dog Clients) 1st Session/Evaluation.
Follow Up Sessions: $95.00 per hour.
Discount Packages Available: Discount Packages are available for 2 or more purchased training sessions at one time. Currently a 10% discount is applied for lessons purchased as a package of 2 lessons or more at at time. Lessons must be completed in a set time frame, to maximize benefit of training (2 lessons must be completed in 3 weeks or under, 3 lessons must be completed in 6 weeks or under, 4 lessons must be completed in 8 weeks or under, 5 lessons must be completed in 10 weeks or under, and 6 weeks must be completed in 12 weeks or under). Package purchases are final/no refunds. 48 hour minimum notice or more policy applies to reschedule appointments. Lessons not completed in agreed time frame are forfeited. Please Note: These time frames do not apply for Day Training as Day Training is a different program where we train for you, then transfer to you in transfer sessions.
Days and Times Offered: Wed., Thurs., & Fri. (Mornings, Early-to-Midafternoons) by appointment. Please note special days/times may be available depending on our current Class Schedule. (No Mondays/No Tuesdays)
Payment Options: Check (by mail or drop off), Pay Pal, or, Cash (drop off in person) due in advance to hold appointment time/space. For Initial Consultation a Private Training Contract and Puppy/Dog Intake Form must be completed and ready for 1st lesson.
*Additional Travel Fees: A $35.00 travel fee (to cover our additional travel time and gas) will be added to the hourly lesson fee for areas further than 25 minutes travel time (each way) from Fair Oaks. To avoid travel fee lessons may be located at our Fair Oaks Inside Training Facility or Offsite within our travel range.
