Puppy Social Hour
Class Description:
Our Puppy Social Hour is a great starting point for early socialization for very young puppies! Please keep in mind the prime socialization window for puppies begins to close very quickly at 12 to 14 weeks of age! Puppies will get to meet other puppies (different breeds, sexes, and sizes) their own age, safely on leash, meet other people (like other puppies, other people look different to puppies as well), and begin to realize their new world can be an exciting and fun place. As well as help shy puppies begin to build confidence and come out of their shell as the weeks go by.
This fun Social Hour is for puppies that meet The Puppy Social Hour Requirements and are 8 to 12 weeks of age at the start of their first class
We encourage fun activities to help build the puppies confidence with other puppies, people, and their footing (examples: low level agility equipment to walk on/in).
Calm behavior is encouraged and rewarded. This class is all about positive socialization and exposure.
Puppy Social Hour Prerequisites:
#1: Puppies are between the ages of 8 to 12 weeks of age to the day.
#2: Must have had at least one vaccination given after 7 weeks of age.
#3: Puppies must have been in your home for more than 10 days.
#4: Proof of all vaccines (Breeder Statements & Veterinarian Exam & Vaccine Invoices/Receipts) so far to date (copy facility may keep) must be included.
#5: Our Puppy Social Hour Application "must" be signed or stamped by "your" Veterinarian's Office?.
#6: Make a Reservation no later than 1:00p.m. the Thursday prior to the first Puppy Social Hour.
Offered only on Saturdays. The first Class is 9:45a.m.-10:45a.m.; the following 3 are 10:00a.m.-10:45a.m.
*Fee:
$40.00, due a minimum of 48 hours prior to the first class with appropriate paperwork.
*Please Note: Payment in full is required to reserve/purchase a Class Space (by Pay Pal Online, Check, or Cash). Once Payment has been received a Personalized Class Confirmation and Class Details (including your Class Day/Time/Date) E-mail will be sent by The Right Steps to confirm space has been purchased and confirmed. The Class E-mail Confirmations are sent out only on Wed., Thurs., & Fri. ~ Thank You for your patience and your business.
IMPORTANT: Please contact us 'before' signing up and making payment if you have any questions &/or wish to come and watch a class before making a final decision to sign up for a class. We encourage you to contact us to schedule a time to come watch a class (without your puppy) if you are unsure if The Right Steps is right for you and your puppy, to help you make an educated decision. Training Options:
Puppies 10 weeks and older would qualify to start out our Surviving Puppyhood Training Class (puppies 10 weeks of age to 16 weeks of age) or our Surviving Adolescence Group Training Classes (puppies 16 weeksof age to 32 weeks of age)! These are great classes to start you and your puppy on the road to a "Well Behaved" Dog!
