Puppy Primer Class: "Reservations Required"
Is your puppy eight to twelve weeks of age? Your veterinarian can provide you with a Free, four week class (4 consecutive weeks)! Simply print up the application (at bottom of page), take it to your veterinarian and have them either sign it or provide their hospital stamp. Documentation of vaccines must be provided (actual veterinary receipts/breeder statements), and you will be required to read about the facility rules before you attend the class. That's it, it's that simple. Reservations are required. Puppies must be under 12 weeks old at the start of their first class. Classes are for all size and breeds of puppies (both mixed and pure bred and from toy, small, medium, large, to giant sized breeds). Puppy Primer Classes are held on Saturday mornings at 10:00am. The facility is open at 9:45am for first time attendees to acclimate to the facility before all the other puppies arrive. It is highly recommended that you take advantage of this period of time. Reservations are required no later than 48 hours prior to the first class. The Puppy Primer Socialization Class offers the owners of young puppies between the ages of 8 and 12 weeks of age a jump start on growing the puppy they want to live with. With its primary focus on socialization, puppies will be exposed to a variety of experiences to help them develop into well-adjusted, friendly, and safe dogs. Common problems encountered with young puppies, such as housetraining, playbiting, and destruction, will be discussed and written material will be provided. The primary socialization period for your puppy ends at 12 weeks. After that time, it may be more difficult for you to convince your puppy that new things are good things. A good socialization history in a young puppy can greatly reduce the risk of aggression later on. The Right Steps Puppy Primer Class is held on a four week, rotating schedule, so you never have to wait for a class to start. You can begin on any week and then attend four consecutive classes. The class runs for 45 minutes each week for four weeks.

Requirements (ALL MUST be met for the health/safety of all the pups ~ "Thank You"): #1: Puppies are between the ages of 8 to 12 weeks of age #2: Must have had at least one vaccination given after 7 weeks of age. #3: Puppies must have been in your home for more than 10 days. #4: Proof of vaccines (copy facility may keep) must be included. #5: PP Application “MUST" be signed or stamped by your Vet.’s Office”! #6: Make a Reservation no later than 48 hours prior to the first class.

The Right Steps Training Facility is an indoor facility, with an indoor potty place and a solid rubber floor. The facility is fully cleaned and disinfected to ensure a safe experience for your puppy. The facility is located at 6247 Main Ave in Orangevale, just north of Greenback on the west side of Main Ave. Please click on the links below to print an Application, Liability Release, & Facility Rules.
