Examples of what may be covered by phone Consult: House Training and Crate Training Management Puppy Play Biting Demanding Barking/Barking to get your Attention ~ Pushy Behavior to get your attention (example toy dropping in your lap while trying to watch T.V. or talk on the phone). Jumping Leash Pulling Dog Proofing your home (inside and out) Car Safety Options for Traveling with your puppy or dog. Tips on toys, exercise, leadership skills, how to avoid problems. How best to set up your new puppy or dog to succeed in your home. Training equipment options. Treat options, discuss reward options. Trouble shooting basic problems in your home. Exclusions: Aggression Issues: Resource Guarding (example: people, animals, toys, bed, food), leash aggression, fear aggression, extreme fear aggression of people or dogs, dog/dog aggression, stranger aggression, owner aggression, other animal aggression issues, barrier frustration, aggression while riding in your vehicle, and territorial aggression to name just a few. Mornings, Afternoons, and some Evening options. 916-966-6883 *Time Limit: Calls not to exceed 40 minutes, calls to exceed 40 minutes, an additional fees will apply prior to continuing the consult via Pay Pal. *Cancellation Policy: Lessons are by appointment therefore we require students who need to reschedule a Phone Consultation to provide The Right Steps a 24 hour notice. To receive a full credit to reschedule to a new time and date students must cancel in advance by 24 hours. No refunds. The is a one time rescheduling allowance, please note for phone consultations cancelled a second time, the fee is forfeited in full/no refund/no reschedule credit. Behavior Issues: If your newly adopted puppy or dog is already exhibiting behavior problems that have you concerned or scared, please call us prior to your first lesson! Examples: Handling Issues, Growling, Snarling, Resource Guarding (food, toys, or you), Leash Aggression, Fear of People, etc. For dogs showing signs of aggression: referrals will be provided to Trainers &/or Behaviorists specializing in those specific issues in the Sacramento Area and Bay Area. Aggression Issues: Referrals Ethic Statement: For students or potential students whose dogs have behavior issues which would be better addressed by a "Dog Behaviorist" or "Dog Trainer who Specializes in the specific issue of concern" referrals will be provided to those specializing in positive methods for these areas of expertise.
